for you bushcraft fans

Sal - if you read this, please keep the Scandi grind and go with high carbon for the blade, not stainless or H-1. :D

IF IT COST UNDER $150, i WOULD OWN 3 IN ABOUT 3 WEEKS....AND THEN i WOULD HAVE ALL MY FRIENDS BUYING THEM....THATS A FACT.

I'd love to see it. I bet it would be in VG10. I hope it has a parrot beak handle and retails for under $100.

:thumbdn: :thumbdn: for VG-10 as the bladesteel for a hard use, hard impact destined knife. I read a post by Sal that said they already decided on 52100, and good for them. I hope they don't go too hard with it though. Nothing above about 57-58Rc for my taste, for a bushcraft blade in 52100, especially with a scandi grind (that's a big bevel of hard steel to work on, especially in the field with a minimal hone, or improvised setup). Toughness, ease of sharpening, and edge holding are my thoughts, in that order, for a dedicated bushknife at least. BUT, I have confidence that Sal knows his own business, and if they produce a bushcraft in 52100 at 61Rc, for example, and say it is tough enough to beat on like a madman, then it most likely will be. I don't know that I will ever get one, as most likely I could get numerous Moras for the same $$$, but I am eager to see the knife, as it should be a sight to behold!!

Let me say here, lest I be misunderstood, that I love VG-10, I am not a VG hater, just not for this particular knife.

I will be impressed if it's not stainless and is under $150 (street cost). I'd love to own a good knife in that style, but there are already such knives available in that price range.
