For your Viewing Pleasure

I know there are hundreds of Busse Fans that visit this board and I often wondered why more folks didn't post pics of their knives/collections. Thanks again Ericfor providing such great comparison shots.

1whobuys...... that is an absolutely Awesome collection!! You Sir are a True Nuclear Nut....or whatever the correct term is! :)

As I've stated before, I'm new to Busses so seeing pics like these are very informative. The only Busse that I have is a Badger E, which I should receive tomorrow.

A few questions when you have the time-

- Seeing the pic of the SHII next to others, it makes me wonder if I should skip purchasing a Natural Outlaw (since it's only one inch longer than the Badger) and just get a SHII or a Mr Mojo instead. What do you think?

- Busse's website shows the SH E as current production but not the SH II, does Busse still produce the SHII? What are the differences between the two?

- How does the Mr Mojo differ in handling and/or chopping from the SH?

- The small, Coated knife in 1whobuys Pic, is that a Mean Street?

- Is the TOP knife in 1whobuys Pic, is that a BM E? Does the blade on these have a slight Recurve or is that just the way the pic looks to me?

Thanks in advance for all the info!

IMHO that's solid logic. Having a Badger Attack along with the SteelHeart gets you a combo of "small enough for daily carry" in the BA and "big enough to be a chopper" in the SH.

The difference is the SH II was one of the older style straight handle models (handle in line with the major axis of the blade) and the SH-E has one of the new ergo handles (handle is curved and at an angle dropped from being in line with the major axis of the blade, making it sort of a semi-pistol grip which the shotgunners in the crowd would recognize).
- How does the Mr Mojo differ in handling and/or chopping from the SH?
AFAIK no one has yet offered a SH/Mojo head-to-head comparison. The Mojo is a bit longer, but built for lightness and quickness in hand. I believe that the handle has holes drilled in it for lightness and balance. Like most Busses it is made of 1/4" stock, but with a distal taper to the tip IIRC. The SH is built for max toughness and strength out of 1/4" stock without distal taper. The Mojo is 1" longer in the blade & overall length, but is 2-1/2 ounces lighter. If someone has both of the Mojo & SH, maybe we could get info on where the balance point of each is at and/or results of comparative cutting/chopping tests between the two blades.

Thought I would post a few of the Discontinued Busse Knives I have. No real old ones here, but fun just the same :D
