Forced air blower, to much?

I have an opportunity to pick up a rather nice blower. I needs a motor which I have. It's rated up to 3500rpm on the name plate. I have a low speed 1728 1.5hp motor that would match up great. But I don't know if it will put out to much or to little air. It's a radial blade blower with a 10" rotor. Here is the stats I found on it. It looks like it can straight up move some air when ran at the 3500rpm but I'm betting it's going to be to loud for my taste at that rpm. My current blower is maxed out and I would like more. In order to get my current blower to work it's wide open and the burner tube is like 2" long and then flares into the blower. So I'm not sure on what my static pressure is or how well my gas is mixing. I control the speed with a speed control right now. I have not been using that forge to weld becaus I'm not to trusting on its temp. Thanks guys, here is the data it's a 105 model.

Looks maybe a bit much for an average welding forge... I have a fairly big squirrel cage blower on mine, and I don't use all of the air it can put out. I bet it will work fine though if you put a gate valve in to control the blast, which works great for my welding forge... that way the pressure stays up but the volume decreases. Helps hold a nice flame, and HOT.
You could save it, as you mention, for a grit-sucker.

I could just toss a 1HP 3ph motor on it with a small vfd and call it a day lol

If the end of your blade crumbles and falls off, then too much air.
