Sal, I will be happy to replace the Starmate with a different model, no problem. It was a nice knife, but I lost confidence in it due to the nature of the fault.

Oh and a big thank you to all who sent me personal e-mails. It is much appeciated!:)

Finally, now I have the right e-mails I will keep discusions regarding this in e-mails and not trouble anyone here with this matter.

Make sure to tell us if they swapped out your Milatary blade for one in S30V. Also tell us if they tested your Milatary blade to make sure the steel was good. However, if they took the usual option and re-ground your tip, then you got the same service you would have if you just sent it in and didn't nag here.
