Recently I ordered and received a knife made by a company called Foresail, which exclusively sells on Amazon. When I bought it, I was hesitant, given that I couldn't find a single piece of info on Foresail besides their Amazon listings and their file for a trademark of their name. The knife was listed as an m390 blade, with an ironwood handle, and a full array of bells and whistles. All of this for just over a hundred bucks (some of their similar offerings being as low as 80).

I have to say, upon receiving my knife, everything is exactly as specifications said. Everything is extremely well crafted, and I received every piece of extra that they listed. I'm not aware if there's any real way to prove whether the blade is m390 or not without a lab or some serious guesswork, but the fit and finish leads me to suggest that it is genuine. Aside from my Kizer Sovereign, this new Foresail is the smoothest-opening knife I've ever touched. Just yesterday, I was in a knife store trying out various BM and ZT models, and, in my opinion, none of them compare. The ball bearings are great.

So, in my opinion, you should check them out.

No need for me to add pictures, as they delivered a photo-perfect representation.

Here's a link to the knife I bought: Link removed, read the site rules.

Ok, paid shill
Hey, if I may ask, what knife would you recommend I get? I'm definitely on a budget, so $200 would be the ceiling (and preferably closer to $100). Aside from that, I don't like Spydercos, not a big fan of the ZTs with flippers, and axis locks aren't my favorite (I don't like closing them one-handed). I would take a recommendation still from among those brands and features, though.

Anything you'd suggest?

I suggest you start a new thread ? in the general knife discussion forum for this ?
I don't have a good answer, but others are sure to have opinions
Edit-see you already have started the thread

Thank you. Yeah--I got lots of great suggestions.

Its unfortunate that you do not like Spyderco. If you have never had one in your pocket, take a chance and get an Endura in M390. That would be under your budget, give you a really great steel at optimum hardness and would give you a chance to evaluate a really great knife.
