Forge Burner Question

I just bought Tai Goo's DVD, hot forging basics. In the DVD he uses a weed burner to heat his forge, will any weed burner connected to a propane tank
get up to forging temps? I plan to use a small metal paint can from Lowes to build my first forge, any advise on cheap burners that work would be appreciated.

I’ve used two different ones. The first was a cheap one from Harbor Freight. When it finally gave out, I got a little bit better one from Home Depot. They both did about the same thing. I have more expensive burners, but really prefer the weed burners for general forging.

Will the weed burners get a freon tank sized forge hot enough?

Also, is there anything on YouTube of one of them I could see in action?

I haven't experiment enough with the size of the forge chamber, been meaning to though.

Ok. I've seen how to's on the paint can forge, is using a weed burner like using the benzo matic (or whatever it is) torch or is it something different? I'd really like to start forging, and that seem like an economical way to go about it.

Wow... I was thinking about this last night & was too lazy to get up and ask... STG your timing is exquisite!

Have a coal forge, but been thinking of saving time ...

Thanks guys for input.
God Bless,

I currently have the Bernzomatic BZ8250HT torch, wasn't sure if it was big enough to get a small paint can forge up to heat. Any one with experience with one? I found a gas forge on ebay for around $200, which I can afford, but would rather spend less as I'am just learning and have already invested alot into my stock removal setup.
