Well, I see you got it fixed... but that's a SUPER simple fix. Any propane supplier I've ever been to has a small shop with an area to make up hoses.
I've fixed dozens of oxy/acet lines and propane hoses like this. It's a matter of cutting the hose off past the hole. Then grinding the crimped ferrule off, and removing the barbed fitting.
Put a new ferrule on, seat the barbed fitting in the hose, and crimp the new ferrule. Edited to add... we use a crimping tool made by Vise Grip just for this job. NEVER try to do it with something like pliers.

The propane shops around here would cut the hose off and put a new crimped ferrule on for you in a few minutes and charge you like $4.
