Forge nickel alloy?

Can you forge the stuff you buy for guards? I have some 1" round that I wish to egg-shape to about 3/4" x 1 1/4". If this stuff is workable, any recommended temps?

What nickel alloy ? Are you talking about nickel silver [copper,zinc,nickel] ? You certainly could cold work and anneal all the copper alloys. Don't know offhand about forging. www.copper.org

I guess it's considered nickel-silver, however it contains no silver. I never thought of trying to work it cold, other than grinding it.

How would I anneal it? I did'nt see it mentioned in the 'copper' link but may have skimmed right past it. Looking again! Thanks.

Anneal nickel silver at 1100-1500 F ,air cool.
