I forged welded this from a piece of cable that I picked up at a flea market. I heat treated it as I would a high carbon steel, did some 2x4 chopping and I am satisfied with the edge holding results. This chunk of cable just begged to be welded into a blade.

Flat grind with an acid etch
Stabilized figured cherry handle with a black spacer
Overall length: 9 7/8 inches
Blade: 4 7/8 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop

Thanks, Mooreknives. One of those knives that I wanted to see if I could do it.

Yes it took shaving sharp edge that held up to my tests

Very nice job on this one, I have some cable that I can't wait to pound out into a knife. Cable knives are awsome.
