Forge Welding Titanium?

Can titanium be forge welded? If so, could it be used into Damascus or San mai?

You'd have some problems with that ! There is a way to join titanium to things like steel. You could use explosive bonding .Not a new technique but it's the only way .Not a DYI thing though !
