I have seen so many forges online for sale that maybe some of you gents would help me in how to either making one or buying one already built for a minimal $. I do have a bbq tank if you will but, I would have to line it inside with clay, ceramic, or hot brick sounds like too complicated knowing that to make sure the connection to the propane tank is properly done or else, danger ahead!!!!. I would appreciate your help thanks, Rey.

Ray, what is your budget?
There are several fine forges sold ready to go, and others as kits. The prices range from about $300 to over $1000, but for $450-550 you can get a good forge from NC Tool Co.

I use a Whisper Lowboy for a lot of general work. Their Knifemaker forge is good, too.

If you want something closer Uncle AL at Riversidemachine has a very nice 12 inch vertical forge for under $400 that will do anything you need. It is a blower forge so does not use a lot of gas. Mike
