what can I say Butch , outstanding as always . Why in the hell am I even looking , it just causes me to troll all over my keyboard . Beautiful hawk .

I'm a novice with Hawks but i can see exceptionally smooth workmanship here.
Is the spike for defence/offence, or is there also a speficic non-combat function. i.e. why choose a spike hawk over a hawk with more of a 'hammer' head opposite the axe blade ?
thanks, roland

Thank you Roland,a hammer poll is maybe a little more useable, but I think most people like the cool factor of the spike.which has it's uses.I have made and sold hundreds, and they both are pretty close in sales the spike I think has a small edge in popularity--Regards Butch

I have both of Butchs hawks..The spike hawk ,,has been carried in Irac/Afgan.. hip rig worn by a S/F nut.. And it was noticed and respected..It also was worn by me in Africa on a special duty and respected...Defence yes ,Offence,..And when not used , they hang beautiful looking on the wall . The other in my bedroom by the door hung ....

I've bought 4 custom knives in the last 7 days so i need to recover. But Butch, i will be looking for a Spike Hawk by late Spring, and i think your work would be an excellent choice for my first Hawk.
