Here's a little something that I came up with today. It's forged from 3/16" 1084 with natural micarta handles that have been dyed black using Fiebing leather dye. It has a scalloped handle. I had seen a lot of knives with the scalloped handle and my first impression was that they looked a little uncomfortable for the hand until I handled one at the Great Smoky Mountain Hammer-In a few weekends ago. Once I got my hands on one and realized how good it felt in the hand, I wanted to make one! This one is no exception, feeling great in the hand. The sheath is a cross-draw that has been hand stitched and dyed black.

Blade: 4" flat ground with convex edge. RC-59
Handle: 4" with tapered tang, natural micarta scalloped and dyed black
Sheath: Cross draw, hand stitched and dyed

Price reduced from $160 to $135 shipped with insurance

This looks very nice. Joel Bolden made a blade design like that a few years ago and it was a very useful knife. A smaller one too that was a great caper.
This looks like a very comfortable handle.

Another frat one Mike, I like the scallops, very unique and still makes handling great.

I was so excited about this knife when I posted it, I completely forgot to mention that it was differentially heat treated and has a visible hamon!
