A handy tool to fit into your day pack or under the seat of your pickup. I have delivered over a dozen of these axes and have received excellent feedback from the users who have used them for things like to cut branches and butcher deer. They are shaving sharp and hold a great edge.
Forged from 1 inch 1085 square bar stock.
Heat treated with three normalizing cycles for a fine grain throughout the head
Differentially heat treated with the blade at 58-60 Rc; the same as I treat a large chopper style knife. Unlike most axes this edge cannot be sharpened with a file; it is necessary to use a stone "the same as a large chopper style knife".
Hickory handle
Head length: 6 3/4 inches
Cutting edge: 3 inches
Handle 12 inches
Weight: 1 pound 8 ounces
Leather edge guard, not belt loop
SOLD Delivered to the US. My email and PayPal are gldrewknives@gmail.com Please feel free to contact me with other payment methods or overseas shipping costs.
