yep, flat on 1 side, beveled on the other, will try and get some better pics. convex edge from both sides.

i forgot to ask...is it heavy?

dont have a digital scale, but no its not heavy. it was forged from 3/16 stock that I thickened up a bit under the hammer before I started forging the bevels. So, its just over 3/16 at the spine, almost the full length of the blade (see browned "rib" along top of blade, that much is full thickness).
