This one is a heavy duty skinner that is a take off of a custom knife made for me by Durrell Johnson (Carmon) about 22yrs. ago. That knife has skinned who knows how many big hogs and deer for me. I wanted to do something similar in the blade with a different take on the handle. This blade is thin enough to work easy, but heavy enough to chop if needed. It's edge quenched and etched to show the transition line. You can move above the guard with the hand to get very good control when needed. The handle will fill the hand, but in no way seems cumbersome or heavy. Using leather spacers at the guard really helps the grip when things get messy. It's a through tang that screws into the brass cap. Here's the spec's:
OAL: 9 1/2"
Blade: 3 3/4" cutting edge, 4 1/2" oal
Width: 1 1/2"
Thickness: 1/8"
Handle: Osage Orange, brass guard and cap, leather spacers
Sheath: Stamped 7/8oz. right hand carry
Price: $199 includes shipping conus. PayPal (ruger315@bellsouth.net), money order or check.

Nice to see your craftsmanship again.

The sheath has to be one of the nicest I've ever seen :D

Thanks for all the good comments. Good to see you again, Martin. Maybe I should have priced the knife at $100 and the sheath at $99. LOL
