This one is GONE. Be looking for another soon.
Free to the fist person that can get a sheath made, a good one, and put this Bowie in the hands of a US Soldier that is allowed to carry and use it. I know alot of units have size restrictions that would not allow this particular Bowie.... but I know some Operators can carry a wider variety of cutlery. I do ask that you send me shipping cost, and some sort of note explaining who it will go to etc... Best bet is to call me 901 288 9172

"Eco" Grade Military Bowie

This Bowie is forged from 5160, 1/4" stock. Blade is 9-1/2" Long x 1-3/4" wide. Overall length is 14-1/2". The blade has a differential heat treat, convex edge, and sharp clip. The guard/handle are Black Canvas Micarta, and the tang is mortised between the slabs. The tang is wide, nearly as wide as the handle and runs to about where the thong hole is located.

A very strong, tough knife, meant to be used, without the shocking price. Finish is bead blast for ease of re conditioning and non glare etc.

US Military ONLY(serving) or some one that will get it in the hands of a US Soldier.

thanks Para and Scott, youve helped inspire me just to donate the Bowie. The 300 I was asking barely fills my gas tang anyhow;)

Matt,
I just got off the phone with you from Tucson, Arizona. I will talk to my co-workers tomorrow and get back with you tomorrow night.

Like others here, I'd like to thank you for your overwhelming generousity. I know that it is a term that is often used on radio programs hosted by folks like Sean Hannity, but you definitely are a great American. God Bless.

E-mail sent With a offer to Pay for the knife AND give it to a worthy troop.

Hopefully the money will allow you to make another.

Up to you.

Coming from a lurker and prior military, I just wanted to chime in and express my feelings of gratitude to both RMLamey and Justabuyer... That kind of sacrifice and compassion is something that seems to be becoming rarer and rarer today. God bless you both!

That is a beautiful Bowie knife and, a beautiful contribution to your fellow man on your part.
