forged bowie,maple crotch wood

Just finished this one, hope the pics do it justice, as I am really pleased with how this one turned out.

The knife overall is 13 1/4'', the blade is 8'' long, and 1 1/2'' wide.

It's forged from 1/4'' 1084, flat ground and clay quenched. The finish is an 800 grit hand rubbed finish which I followed up with polishing pastes, before and after the etch.

The guard is 13 layers 1080 and 15n20, and the spacer is 312 layers 1080 and 15n20 that was going to be a W pattern, but I twisted it instead, so it has a little different than normal twits pattern.

The handle is Maple crotch wood, treated with nelsonite, then dyed.
