A handy little axe to keep in your day pack or under the seat of your pickup, always ready to go into the woods with you. I am starting to get feedback from customers about the great way these axes chop and hold an edge. I forged the edge fairly thin for cutting but made the body thick enough for splitting kindling.

Forged from 1080 1 inch bars stock
Differentially heat treated with about 1 1/2 inches of the blade at RC 58-60 and the body somewhat softer
Handle is reworked from a hickory hatchet handle and stained
Length from the butt to the top of the head: 13 inches
Head length:7 inches
Cutting edge: 2 7/8 inches
Weight: pound 9 ounces
Leather edge guard, no belt loop

SOLD delivered to the US. MY PayPal address and email is gldrewknives@gmail.com Please feel free to contact me with other payment methods.

One of my techs is a "good old girl" from Kentucky who always got her limit in BP and archery season as well as regular deer season. She said that was the nicest deer skinning tool she ever held.

8 minutes and gone! I do believe that may set a new speed record for someone jumping at one of Gerry's "gems"! Way to go paramecium! These camp/pack axes are fast becoming one of Gerry's hottest creations.
