Forged from 1080 high carbon steel bar stock
Differentially heat treated with the edge at about 58 Rockwell and the body somewhat softer. This axe cannot be sharpened with a file; use a stone
Red oak handle
13 1/2 inches from the butt to the top of the head
Head is 6 1/4 inches long
Cutting edge is 3 inches
Simple leather edge cover
