Maybe a little large for an every day knife but really handy on a camping trip
I was set up at a show last week end and a metalurgist there asked me why I used a 52 series steel for my knives, did I do a lot of testing? I told him that my testing was done by using my knives in the field and in my shop. I had made several spoon shaped chisels to hollow out some wood bowls I was carving and found that when I was carving across the grain of hardwoods, the 52100 held an edge much better than some of the other steels I had tried. He said that was about as good a test as any. He bought a knife.
Forged from 3/16 52100 steel heat treated in digitally controlled equipment to Rc 58-60
Flat grind
Forged textured flats
Stabilized walnut handle
Overall length: 10 1/4 inches including the forged ring, 9 1/2 inches without.
Leather scabbard with a belt loop
