A hefty camper or hunter. Beefy enough to hack branches and baton kindling

Forged from 1/4 inch 52100, about 1/4 inch at the choil area and a distal taper to the point and butt
Flat grind with a machine finish
Forged texture on the flats
Forged finger guard (Brute de Forge?)
Stabilized curly ash handle
Overall length:10 3/4 inches
Blade: 5 7/8 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop

thanks for the info on the wood, and I would say the guard is brute de forge, that is what I have seen Lon Humphrey call it on his, or it could refer to the rough forge spots left on the knife, like the rough sides and the guard.
