This is one of my forged blades (first forge work I'm selling out here), best I can describe it is as a "utility/thrower" or "hunter/thrower". A nice heavy field knife with good throwability.

Forged 1084 steel almost a full 1/4 inch thick at the heel with a full distal taper, OAL is 8 5/8 inches, blade is 4 1/2. She's got a kidskin wrap under a 550 cord wrap. The leather is fastened with a polyester resin, and the cord is held by tension. Finish is 320 grit and steel wool.
Balance is about the center of the index finger cutout. I threw it 50 times (stuck 15, I'm better with hawks) and the turn is just over my tomahawks, about 6 inches longer for a full spin. I also split a few pieces of firewood using baton technique, before I finished the polishing. Sturdy knife!
The sheath is an example and properly goes to the first knife like this I made-- so you get a black or brown sheath like that one with right or left handedness, or I can do a belt clip.
I carry the first one of these I made. I'm glad I added the index finger cutout for the later ones. But I have no problems with a leather wrap grip on mine. It's simple, comfortable, and replaceable (with scales if you end up with carpal)
Asking $75 shipped in the US. Paypal or money order is great.
