PP paid, so now it really is sold. this knife just "jumped out at me". i think $85 for a skilfully forged knife is a gift. thanks again Will.

Really nice piece and one heck of a deal. Sorry I missed this one. If you decide to make another, let me know.

Thanks for all the kind words folks!

It does not come out in the pics all that well but this burlap laminate is some cool stuff.
Its one of my favorites for sure.
Thanks again Roland it should be in the mail Sat. morning.
Murph I will send you a pm thanks.

This was the red burlap with the black dye, If I recall right. Looks like it came out pretty cool. I need to try some more like that laminate.

Either way, that knife is right on Will!

i picked up this knife at the P.O. 2 days ago and i still feel badly because William L. Crump cheated himself. this is an AWESOME fine knife. good pics, but much better knife. the handle is beautiful and ergonomic. the blade spine is THICK and the knife is heavy, but the taper distally and to the blade edge is "perfect" making it a slick slicer but with just enough steel above the edge to handle tough cutting too. and the whole 'package has flow both visually and in-hand. ya don't wanna put it down type of knife. and the sheath: attractive, solid and perfect 'snap into place' fit.
but the 'bad' part: i only paid Will $85 and he had to pay $7 shipping and PP fees ! and that's not all. i have about 2000 knives. none has ever arrived packed like this one. Mr. Crump took a nice piece of fragrant wood (Pine ?), did some 'scrimshaw' on one side and then milled out the other to form a cradle for the knife which was then overlayed with layers of foam and all taped up.
William: Thank You. you make a fantastic knife and fine sheath. you have the special talent that creates not just a fine, functional knife, but a knife that elicits an immediate "WOW". i really owe you "one".

What a knife!!!

Will, you need to post pics of the two of these you just sent me. They arrived in the mail today just in time for me to take them up to the AG Russell show with me in the morning to show off to a few friends. WOW, these are both deffinitely the "little bulldogs" of knives. These things are so comfortable and solid that I believe I could easliy spend all day field dressing with it or use it as a pry bar (no, I'm not the kind of guy that uses a knife as a prybar, but it's nice knowing that if I were in a pinch and needed to.....I have no daubt that I could successfully).

You really out did yourself on these Will. I already have some more ideas for a couple more that I'll be getting in touch with you about.
