Forged this one from a piece of 3/16 1095. For the scales on this one I used black paper micarta dovetailed with some of Shaunessy's stabilized Black Ash Burl. This burl is great stuff with nice figure, judge for your self, here are the specs:
Steel- 1095 X 3/16 although finished blade thickness is approximately 5/32
AOL- 9 3/4 inches
Blade- 5 1/4 inches to front of guard with serrations on spine
Grind- flat with convex edge
Guard- Brass
Handle- 4 1/2 inches
Scales- Dovetailed black paper micarta mated to stabilized Black Ash Burl
Pins- 1/8 416 stainless
Sheath- Tooled handsewn RH pouch sheath made from 8-9 ounce vegetable tanned leather.
