Interesting way to attach handle, how is it done? Appears as if the tang has a slot so the handle scale or block can just sit in it, then attached the screws into the wood. Curious.

First I made the steel part and after I draw the shape of the steel on a wood block. Finished part of the wood was inserted to the steel part and there was glued a steel rivets for better stability.
