This is a hammer poll hawk forged from an american made ball peen hammer..Good steel, edge hardened and tempered..The cutting edge is 3 7/8" wide and the head is 7 5/8" long overall.Some light filework on the spine..Etched to an aged patina..The haft is a nice piece of curly ash. Stained with aqua fortis, rubbed with boiled linseed oil and finished with wax..
