Its forged from a bar of 1045 with a 1086M cutting bit forge welded in..Edge hardened and double tempered..The poll is heat treated just like a regular hammer..The cutting edge is appx 2 3/4" wide and the head is appx 6 3/4" long..Aged patina and filework on the spine..
The haft is curly ash. Stained with aqua fortis, coated with boiled linseed oil and sealed with wax..
The sheath is made from 8oz leather, tooled and hand sewn..Brass snap..Stained dark brown and sealed with neatsfoot oil..
