This is a hammer poll tomahawk forged from a good old American made ball peen hammer.Good high carbon steel.The cutting edge is appx 3" wide and the head is 7 1/4" long overall..It has been etched to a nice aged patina. Edge hardened and tempered.. The haft is straight grain hickory. HI, the weight of the hawk/handle combined is 1 pound, 8 ounces..Im sorry but we are out of leather right at this moment..

Looking good! now I've just got to wait till summer so I can learn to use a hawk properly before I get one of yours.

The head by itself was what I wanted to weigh 1.5 to 2 lbs. I'm still pondering on it though. Sending an email to Kentucky!
 
Hi, Tried to email you a couple of times. Did you ever get some leather in to make a sheath? Also, I think your email might have a bug, I keep getting group emails with your addy as the sender with links to oddball sites. Let me know here if you can. Thanks
