This hawk was forged from a single piece of medium/high carbon steel..We are not 100% sure of the grade of steel but the way it heat treats and sparks we believe its around 1050-1060 carbon steel..The cutting edge is 3" wide and the head is 7 1/2" long overall..The poll is heat treated like a regular hammer and polished..Edge hardened and double tempered..Left with a forge finish..
The haft is curly maple, stained with aqua fortis, rubbed with boiled linseed oil and finished with wax..Asking price is $125 shipped priority with conformation in conUS..Paypal or postal money orders are fine..The paypal address is wolfcreekforge@bellsouth.net
