This is a forged hammer poll hawk left with a forged finish. The head is made from 1045, edge hardened and tempered..Some filework on the spine..The cutting edge is 2 5/8" wide ad the head is 7 1/2" long overall..The haft is a nice piece of curly ash. Stained with aqua fortis, rubbed with boiled linseed oil and finished with wax..We are asking SOLD The paypal address is phllpwest@bellsouth.net

Hmmm, so usually its curly maple.. but this is ash... which I think, and recall you also saying is a stronger grained wood? meaning this hawk is made for harder use than the maple? the grain looks a bit more endurer? not like rings that could snap.. yes? no? I am an "i'll take it" if you can confirm this one is of stronger wood.. ;]

hey man, if you are going to do that.. make it a hammer hawk again.. bearded would be IDEAL and if there is a way to make an edge sheath, leather or kydex I'll be on it! This hasn't been my first dialog about these hawks you 2 put out.. thanks, and cheers! Your work is great, and I've seen your shop tour pics, love your location..
