Not sure whether this would be considered a hawk or a hatchet. It would fit either role equally well. So I am calling it both.
I forged this hawk-hatchet from 80crv2. The blade has been buffed to a nice polish. It is sharp!
The handle is curly maple that is octagonal in cross section. It is held in place with flared tubing and epoxy.
The blade cover is 7-8oz leather.
Dimensions
Blade - 4 1/4” cutting edge
Blade width from spine to edge - 4 1/8”
Maple handle - 7”
OAL - 13 3/4”
Price $295 shipped to US.
