Forged Hawk

Heres a better pic of the hawk i forged from an old carpenters hatchet.I have to build a light box.

I really like it - Got any "before" pictures? How did you do it?

Re- drifted the eye, hot cut the bottom of the blade and drew out the hammer end into the spike.It goes pretty fast with my press.

I see your photo name has "blue" in it, did you acid blue this?
I've used gun-bluing on several of my carbon steel heads to give them old-world rust-prevention.

Either way, great work!!!

Thanks,i just add some cold blue here and there to give it an aged appearance.
