Thanks Ron looking forward to the conclusion. This looks like one of those projects ideally suited to forging - thinking about doing this stock removal really gives me the willies... But I may just have to try it anyway.

wow that looks good. how much time do you have into at this stage so far? does the 01 steel amke a good flint striker? will you show any pics of it flint striking?
