I am not sure that Tracy has his name attached to the micarta yet, but after I used the original scales, I ordered some more.

This is made from a Nicholson file. I know, I know. Use known steels. I have a friend who works in a factory that throws out about 12 of these a day. He called the supplier for me and the supplier told him they were identical to W1. That is how I heat treat them. There is some of the file lines left on the flats of the blade. I kind of like it that way.

I like this design so much, I am in the process of making a similar one for myself.

Here are the details... enough chatter.

The blade has been clay quenched for a nice hamon. I tried to capture it in the pics and was mildly successful. The spine has been fileworked.

The handle is Tracy Mickley's butterscotch micarta, or whatever he calls it. It is pretty cool either way. It does have black and orange liners to set it off.

The sheath is my leather horizontal and vertical ambidexterous carry. I should take a picture of it on my belt in a number of positions, it really is versatile.

Dimensions
Blade - 3 1/4" tip to handle
OAL - 7 3/8"

Price - $175 Shipped to USA. I prefer Paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first "I'll take it!" gets it.
