Wanted to give this one a look of the old west times. With the Mexican loop sheath it would look right at home on a fancy gun rig. The blade is forged from a blacksmith rasp and you can see shadows of the cuts in the steel as well as on both sides of the choil. This steel forges and heat treats like 1095 and really makes a super using knife. It's been edge quenched and etched to show the transition line. The handle is elk antler beam with leather spacers and brass guard and cap. It is a through tang construction to secure all parts. This one is pretty big, but balances nice at the first finger behind the guard and is quick in the hand with it's long distal taper. The sheath is a Mexican loop style and can be worn strong or weak side carry. Spec's are:
OAL: 12 1/2"
Blade: 7" to ricasso
Width: 1 3/4"
Thickness: 5/32" at guard
Handle: Elk antler beam, brass guard/cap, leather spacers, through tang.
