Tried to get the feel of a plains style skinner with matching sheath. The blade is 52100, full quench and cold browned for an aged patina. The handle is deer leg bone, brass pin, rawhide wrap and pewter collar. This sheath is rawhide over a veg-tan core, beaded brain tan cuff. The decorations are bone pipes, brass and glass beads, brass cones with horse hair tassels. Spec's are:
OAL:7 3/4"
Blade: 2 3/4"
Width: 1 1/4"
Thickness: 3/32"
Price: $175 includes shipping CONUS. PayPal (ruger315@bellsouth.net), check or money order.

Hey Butch, Kaynes shop is about 2 miles from my house and I get over there and shop from time to time. Good people to deal with and they really support the trade. Thanks for the kind words!

Very nice work Rick. Knife and sheath look like artifacts. I can't believe they haven't been snapped up yet.

Thanks Mike! That's the direction I was taking when making this set. Even though this looks like an artifact, it really is a very good usable knife. The 52100 hit right on at heat treat and bone handles have stood up to heavy use for eons. If some one likes it, I could do a plain user sheath to go along with the decorated one.
Rick
