Butch, I tried several out of RR spikes before I got the hang of it. Guess it was my first step in the learning curve of making hawks when you come right down to it. If you scroll down and click on number 12 at this page you'll see one of my first successes out of a RR spike. http://www.anvilfire.com/iForge/ Scroll down to the bottom of this page. I was really surprised to see it used as an example. To bad they don't make these spikes out of 3/4" material.
