Hello Everyone, I have two of my hand forged Edc blades on sale today. These are both made from 8670 high carbon steel, they were forged to shape then thermal cycled several times to refine the grain and produce an excellent cutting tool. Each blade is on sale for only $80, payment can be sent to edgeknifeworks@gmail.com on PayPal G&S. Details about each knife will be after the photos. Thank you for looking.

The first knife has a 3.5” blade with a 4” handle and is 3/16” thick at the spine with distal tapers forged in to the tip and the back of the knife. This is a sleek knife but it really fills the hand nicely.

the second knife has a 3” blade and 3.5” handle and is 1/4” thick at the spine. This little pocket Bowie feels good in the hand and is razor sharp, the forged ring on the pommel gives you a good spot to tie a lanyard.

Hi Josh, these look great! You have been using a lot of 8670 - may I ask your tempering temperature? Thanks!

Hey David, depending on the knife 350-400, both of these were tempered at 375 which I find is a nice balance of toughness and hardness, some kitchen knives I’ll leave at 350 and heavy choppers I’ll take it up to 400. I’ve been getting pretty consistent results with it and just recently did some random destruction testing with a few knives from different batches and they performed very well. It’s a great steel, very tough and takes a good edge.
