Here is one of my forged tacticals i just finished. it has a 7" blade of 1084 hand finished to 800 grit with a 416 ss guard pin and thong hole tube with a natural micarta handle oal is 12.25"

How did you do the checkering on the handle?

I could be wrong but I don't believe that's checkered---you're probably seeing the texture of the canvas in the micarta.
