This hawk is forged from a good quaility farriers rasp.Something along the lines of 1095.The rasp was folded over onto itself then wrapped and welded up..The head 5 3/4" long and the cutting edge is 3 1/4" wide. Edge hardened and tempered. The rasp texture was left on the eye and it has a forged finish..The haft is hickory, stained and finished with boiled linseed oil.
