This is a forged tomahawk/trade axe forged from a rasp with a piece of 1060 high carbon steel welded in for the bit..The head has a forged finish. The cutting edge is 3 1/2" wide and the head is 5 1/2" long overall..The haft is a nice piece of figured curly ash. Stained with aqua fortis and rubbed with boiled linseed oil.
