Heres a forged Tomahawk/Trade axe..Forged from a good quaility farriers rasp..Folded over triple and welded together..3 1/4" cutting edge. The head is 5 1/4" long..Left with a forge finish..Some filework on the spine..Heat treat: Quenched in Parks 50 and double tempered..
The haft is straight grain hickory. Stained, coated with boiled linseed oil and finished with wax..The edge cover is a plain utilitarian style, nothing fancy..Made from 8oz leather. Riveted together with copper saddle rivets. Sealed with several coats of neatsfoot oil..Snug fit and these rivets will hold anything..
We are asking $73 shipped priority with conformation..paypal or postal money order..The paypal address is phllpwest@bellsouth.net..
Thanks

KY,
Have you made a hammer/hawk? I am just thinking about pounding tent stakes and wood splitting wedges.
Thanks
