Nice work Bob. I don't have any experience with knives made from files. Is it W2 steel? Do you think it would be suitable for chopping/batoning ? The blade size is perfect I find for those chores.
Thanks, Andy

Thanks Andy, It would be wrong for me to say 100% what the steel type is. I heat treated by taking the blade to 1500 degrees and quenching in 105 degree oil. I temperd it at 400 degrees for 2 X 2 hours. This is the method I use for most simple steels. hereis a link to a discussion on knife forums on the subject that may help you understand my reasoning. http://knifeforums.com/forums/showtopic.php?tid/801633/
It is a pretty light knife with a blade thickness of about 3/16ths and a blade width of 1 3/8ths inches. I feel it would be fine for light chopping but not enough weight for heavey chopping.

Thanks

That is beautiful sir.

I hope you don't mind if is save the images to drool over at a later date.
