Hi guys-

I have way more blades than I have time to finish, so here's one for sale.

Forged from 1-3/4" W2 round.

All thermal cycling and the austentizing were done in my digitally controlled salt bath.

I did some differential heat treat dance moves with it, so this one has what can be a VERY nice hamon.

It's surface ground on the flats, and rough ground (pretty thin) with a 60X belt on the bevels. It's ground thin enough, that a REALLY ambitious person could start hand finishing from here (I wouldn't want to! lol, but it could be done).

Blade- 7-7/8" long X 1-1/2" wide X 0.227" thick at the ricasso (OAL w/tang is 12")

FWIW- It took a lot of years of hard work to be able to lay the ground-work/foundation that has been set up here. :)

SOLD! Thank you so much Robert!:)
$75 shipped in the states, will gladly discuss int'l shipping if anyone is interested

Thanks for looking guys! :)

I drew a rough outline of the hamon with a marker

Not to ask a really dumb question, BUT, if I buy the steel (or pay you for it), would you grind and HT my pattern for around that price? I'll be glad to do the finish work, I just don't have the means to do the starter work.

PM, email me, whatever.

Wow, I didn't expect such a good response--- Thank you guys for that! :)

Robert, it's all yours---THANK YOU!!! :) I sure appreciate it! I'm 98% sure I still have your address on file here (unless you moved). I can get this out to you real soon. :)

I do have some other blades that I know I won't have time to get to... I'm going to go through them shortly.

Thanks guys :)

Larry, I can give you a definitely maybe. LOL ;) It would really just depend on the design, steel, etc. I'd be glad to kick it around with you if you'd like. :)
