forging a camp knife

Thanks everybody for the kind words :)

The blade was forged down from 2.5" W2 round-stock. I normalized it in my forge twice after forging to shape.

After grinding the scale off, it went into my salt bath at 1600, then taken out and cooled to black, 1550, 1500, 1450, and 1400 times three.

I austenitized it in my salt bath at 1475 for 5 minutes, then quenched it in Park #50 with a really fast interupted quench. This left some really interesting activity in the blade. It doesn't show in these pics, and I couldn't get any that showed it AT ALL, but it looks cool in hand.

Thanks! :)
