forging air hardening steels

Ive read about makers forging 440, D-2, and various stainless/air hardening steels. How is this done succesfully? Seems that warping and craking would be a very big problem.

IT very simple. STAY IN THE HEAT range of the material an preheat all your equiptment.
The other thing is that these material do not move well or fast . Follow the process in the books for forging then and you will be ok..
