  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Forging at last

My very first fixed blade....not my first knife since I had done a large number of serious kit modifications...but first sole authorship....terrible hand sanding....but I still have it and use it!

I think its also personal experience. I did a lot of woodworking with my father as a child, did a ton of custom model making, did some jewelry, so knives were somewhat of an extension of all those.

Yep that knife blows my first efforts away hands down. Its truly beautiful. Good design too.

My views have varied on finger grooves. Hard to do without being fully custom to the user's hand....plus its a function of intended use....I wouldnt want to be cutting witha fully grooved knife for hours, if you know what I mean...

Didnt mean to derail the thread! Back to forging....
