Forging damascus

Anybody out there have any experience forging their own damascus, and from there care to give a summary of the process they use? Im kinda curious as to how one would go about it

The Count has a good suggestion. It is easy once you have experience, but if you are a noob describing the processwould be pointless as you wouldn't have the experience to understand

I've watched a Master Smith make billets and work them down with a press, and it was awesome!

Since then, I've barely seen any presses, but I saw Uncle Al, of Riverside Machine (I hope). His machine is slim, simple, and accurate, by what I saw.

I guess most everyone uses a press, but I don't know much about them. I would like to hear more.
