As I mentioned Scott was a gracious host and I learned a lot. I have quite a bit of scrap mild-steel stock so I can practice my grinding with no worries.
Nick, I would love to come up and visit. Weekends are about my best day with Saturday afternoon being THE best. So let me know when you have some free time, and I would love to come up.
And Chuck, I would love to come down your way, but I don't go South as often as I go North, but if Scott, Mark and Nick all head that way and I have enough notice, I bet I could talk the wife or mother-in-law to hang out with the kids for a day and head down with them. I would love the experience.
BTW, my wife gave me a folder for Christmas. It measures about an inch closed and inch and a half fully open. I put a nice sharp edge on it that day. I don't know who makes it as I haven't got out my magnifying glass to read the stamping, but part of it looks like it says it was made in Italy. It is a fun knife none-the-less, though that small it is definitely just for the collection.
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and I look forward to learning much more from this site and the friends I am making on it.
Mike
